The teams participating in the Tour Of Antalya powered by AKRA 2023, which will be held for the fifth time on February 9-12, 2023, have been announced. The international cycling race, which is in the 2.1 category in the 2023 Elite Men’s European Tours calendar of the International Cycling Union (UCI) and consists of 4 stages, will host 25 teams and 175 cyclists from 15 countries in 2023. World famous cyclists will pedal 615 km on 4 beautiful stages on the paradise roads of Antalya.
WORLD TOUR TEAMS COMING TO TOUR OF POWERED BY AKRA IN ITS FIFTH YEAR
Organized within the framework of the rules of the Turkish Cycling Federation since 2018, with the contributions of Argeus Travel & Events and Yedi İletişim, the “Tour Of Aantalya” cycling race, which has become a brand in the world cycling in a short time with its high-level standards and team quality, has been defined as the Tour Of Heaven with its paradise-like nature, unique history, climate and beautiful stages, and the teams and stages to participate in the race have been announced. 2 World Tour teams, 10 Pro Continental Teams and 13 Continental Teams are participating in the organization. The participation of French Groupama FDJ, ranked 7th in the UCI World Tour ranking, and Belgian Alpecin Deceuninck, ranked 9th, is an indicator of the increase in the brand value of the Tour Of Antalya powered by Akra race, which celebrates its fifth year this year, among road cycling races. Tour Of Antalya powered by Akra 2023, in which important countries of world cycling such as Italy, Belgium, New Zealand and Great Britain participate, will include 4 continental teams from Turkey for the first time. In addition to Sakarya BB Pro Team, Spor Toto Cycling Team teams that participated in the Tour of Antalya last year, Beykoz Municipality Sports Club and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports, which were established this year, will compete fiercely.
